In order to price your home, I urge the following information gathering before becoming dead set on a sales price:
- Request a Comparative Report of homes actively for sale in your neighborhood from a realtor. Look beyond the number of bedrooms and baths... Days on the market and Original List Price versus Current List Price are valuable pieces of information.
- Schedule a couple of hours with a realtor to look at some of those homes on the market.
You may feel pushed to sell by outside factors but please take the time to do the above. In my situation, I am so pleased with the knowledge of my competition!
